Just curious to see as the bottle of Howes in particular doesn't indicate how long will a unopened bottle be good for?

I dumped a bottle I've had for over a year into both tanks ( 260 gallons ) and the following day both fuel/water filter on truck and fuel filter on APU both became clogged...

Was it bad fuel or could the "old" fuel anti gel be a possible culprit?

Truck fuel filter had only 9k miles on it and APU about 350 hours...

Rideandrepair and 4mer trucker Thank this.

I changed oil Wednesday And had some power service anti-gel in the bluebottle that’s been in my shop for two years . I know it was a-year-old before that so let’s say it was three years old .
Now mind you I changed all filters fuel filters everything took off the next morning got about 150 miles and started losing power .
Looked down at my fuel pressure gauge and was registering 50 on it usually registers 85. Pulled over changed out my primary water separator filter , was so plugged I could hardly pour the fuel out of it . Cranked it back up fuel pressure gauge went back to 90 and truck is running fine so far so to answer your question that’s all I can explain is that fuel antigel was bad!

I have a couple of bottles of Power Service from last year. Got me wondering now if they are ok to use.

This is directly from Power Service website.

If its below zero you have to double the dose. You have to be careful with these bio blends with a high % of bio. Anti gel doesnt seem to work as well. You almost have to double the dose on them also.
