ope nvm, looks like they did treat the diesel instead of testing just the additives.

Watch it again and you will see that is what they did. They put it in Diesel and tested each kind to see how it did.

Honestly the take away from this is howes is best at prvention from a cost stand point. (In MY area hotshots is $55 for a truck sized bottle while howes is $18) diesel 911 white is ok but 911 red is good at shocking fuel out of gel state....less so prevention which basically everyone who has driven for a few years knows. And 2 stroke oil would work as a better then nothing alternitive but likely make the DOT think your running dyed and wreck havok on a modern def engine.

The downside to howes is that for some reason it seems to bugger the lubricity of the diesel so likely should be used alongside a lubricateing agent of some sort.

Run a filter on some used motor oil? Add a gallon to the fillup? Should fix lubricity, i like relatively free fixes...

I actully managed to score a lot of 12 unopened 55 gallon barrels of stanodyne from a truck shop that went bankrupt up near where i live for $1500. I typically just dump a cup into each tank when i treat with howes. I dont trust my truck to not explode if i use oil.....then again you know the history on this truck. Parinoia is my go word lol

You can buy Hotshots online at the website for cheaper. I buy it by the gallon so not that expensive to treat the fuel.

Shipping is what gets me. I live in a very rural area where roads are more a vauge suggestion then fact. Usually shipping on a 12 bottle case is around $150+ or i gotta send it to my PO box and drive 2 hours to get it lol. Eaiser to just buy the howes at the local co-op and suppliment with the other stuff. Besides with almost 600 gallons of the synodine left im unlikely to run out soon XD.

Honestly still suprised i won that lot. I threw a random number at it and apparently was the only bidder.

I bought little 8oz bottles empty on amazon and then bought 1 gallon jug and fill them up for the road. Easy to pull out and put in tank. Got an Ammo case to keep the bottles in and no smell or leaking. Works really well!.

Thats a bit scary because i do exactly the same thing. I keep the box on the floor by the passenger seat for easy access.
