Andrus is a western states carrier. They have/had a yard in Fontana. Volvos and KW's, older equipment, small carrier. Also check out a company called Cox, also there in St. George. (not affiliated with Cox in Ashland, Va.) Wal-Mrt has a DC in St.George also.

I actually just called them for details and it sounds pretty good. They cover the 11 western states. Out with a trainer for a bit and then 6 months of team before they give you your own truck. On the road time is between 7-10 days. I have read some odd stories about them on this forum, but there are stories about all companies on here so who knows the validity of them

Really about the only thing I can tell you about Andrus is that I have a neighbor who has worked for them for at least the past 15 years. He seems satisfied with them, and appears to have quite a bit of home time.

Parke Cox Trucking runs all 48 and seems to keep their equipment in good condition. Appears to be newer stuff. They are both dry van and flatbed.

I Work for Andrus currently, they are all right, tend to run equiptment till it's dead, but maintain it well. Yards in fontana, St. George, Salt Lake and Dallas. Main customers are fed ex, UPS, Nestle Water, Walmart, amongst others.

They are good if you are a driver that can manage yourself. If you need to be babysat, you will not last long.

Cox is a good company, they run newer equiptment, and as long as your good to it, they are a good company.

I noticed that they have two different help wanted ads in the local paper this morning. One for teams and one for solo. Sure might be worth checking into!

Low miles, no direct deposit unless wells fargo. If they put your money on comdata card, its costs you $10 to get it out. They mail checks to your house...trucks are mostly automatic, volvos, older kw's and a couple prostars left. I have seen some older 9400 ih's running but that was first part of january. Got home every week under a load so most time off was 2 days. After first 30 days, miles went from 2500-2800 a week to 1500-1900 a week, not sure why? I left them because i had to take care of spouse.
