Which do you prefer? I just recently bought schaeffers 238 grease because Amsoil is out of there heavy duty grease. Have not tried it yet but it’s got good reviews from other drivers, just wanted to see what you guys and gals prefer and why.

I use Schaffer 15-40 oil, their summer and winter fuel treatment, and their green grease. Reasonable pricing when buying direct and I have no complaints about the quality.
blairandgretchen and Mcast3092 Thank this. -

Very impressed so far.
I Been using Schaeffers for a few years. I like it. One thing their 10w30 did was stop the lifter rattle my small block chevy’s have at first cold start-up even with Rotella. Before the Schaeffers I had to add a quart of Lucas to help quiet them down.
oil pressure seems to stay much more stabile and within spec on all my old NH Cummins’ as a plus. They hold 40 hot idle instead of 25 with other oils. -
Just a side note my Schaeffers rep down here said that BNSF RailRoad switched over to 100% Schaeffers last year and The big UP is testing the waters. That should tell you something.

AMsoil is Amway. Just another multi level marketer. Some of those ols do not meet sae standards
simpatico Thanks this. -
hmm this is interesting. All I have ever used was Rotella but think I'll look into Schaeffer's
goga Thanks this. -

I was being facetious They are not part of Amway but use the same scuzzy sales techniques. Some of their oils supposedly meet sae standards but have never been submitted for approval.
