Amgen dist. One big lie!

Well, I'm glad I found this post. I was considering a move due to the high revenue they advertise in the truck mags. I even spoke to the recruiter yesterday. He fully disclosed the trailer rental fee, insurance cost, and a few other deductions. Was told the nursery was paying $3 per mile outbound, and if you picked up racks as a back haul the rate was $1.50 per mile, and that the truck was paid 78% of those rates. If no racks to backhaul he told me they partner with numerous 3PLs to secure loads back to the SOCAL area for a reload of nursury. I don't mind the extra work of multiple stops, but if your story is true about having to sit then that will certainly kill the high dollar outbount freight.

Hope I can talk to some o/os face to face about this company.

 

Husband was with these "smooth talkers" in 2009. Let's just say that 2009 and the beginnig of 2010, we learned alot of lessons the hard way. Sine joining TTR last year, it has proven to be a most invaluable tool. Any question about any body, I search it here first.

 

GLAD to see that all our hard work and dedicated memebers are making life a tad easier for the newbie or the driver looking for greener grass.

Thats why we are here, to help everyone avoid the problems that are not often explained/reported in general conversations. The staff is way beyond dedicated and the members who post information about companies/rules/incidents etc are what help to keep this place the "place to go to"....THANK YOU ALL~

 

i feel your pain i was with them for 4 months last year.and my advise to you is to get out and get out quick.no matter what dick berry tells you about freight picking up and customers he is lying.he has maybe 2 or 3 customers in california and the rest is broker freight (cheap freight) i know of 5 guys that worked for amgen didnt make any money quit and never saw there last pay check and if you are on their list for the week you will not get paid . He is a one man show on lying..i advise no one to fall to his tactics and lies..and make sure if you quit you take that trailer back down to the amgen office do not drop at shipper if you dont take it to office they will charge you and you want get a pay check for your last week with them.now i can recommend a good company they are in cullman al they run east to west and it pays good.i avg.between 2000 to 3000 grand a week take home.there hasnt been in lies with this new company.if you want more info you can email me and i will give you details.

 

AMGEN IS NOT WHAT HE CLAIMS IT IS BELIEVE ME . YOU WILL NOT MAKE THE KIND OF MONEY HE IS SAYING.i KNOW SEVERAL DRIVERS THAT HAVE LEFT AMGEN AND MOST DIDNT EVEN GET PAID ON A LOT OF LOADS. HE IS A CROOK AND A VERY GOOD LIAR HE COULD SELL ANYTHING AND HAS MADE SEVERAL MEN FEEL REAL FOOLISH THAT BELIEVED HIM.I AM ONE OF THEM .AND THERE IS NO RACKS ANOTHER LIE..BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY HE TALKS A GOOD TALK BUT THE REALITY IS IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE ..IT IS

I did my research and came to the conclusion not to lease to Amgen. Would like to hear more about the Garrison gig though. I contacted them several months ago but can't seem to find any of their O/Os to talk to, or at least ones that have a real clue as to their real profit.

They have nothing but cheap broker freight. 80,000lbs almost every load that paid next to nothing! I brought home about $2500 for the entire month i was there. they still owe me $1700 for my escrow. Dick Berry is a Crook!!!!!!!!!!!!!
