This place is complete garbage. Had a 2330 appointment. Arrived at 2000. Was put in a door at 2200. Talked to lumper and they finished unloading in 30 minutes.

Waited until 0000 and walked inside to check on paperwork. Told to go back to truck, they'll call me.

Fall asleep and wake up at 0400. Check on paperwork, told to go back to truck. Get a call at 0500 "come inside, you need to know what's going on with the load". Go inside and am told its 1600 cases short. I ask how many skids did they unload and they said 10 or so.

The load had 23 skids for this stop. So in order for the lumper to begin unloading again I have to pay them a second time because the first payment only covered the amount of freight they pulled off initially. Finally at 0730 I have to wait for the lumper to give him the check, threw it at him and finally walked out at 0800. Was told had to park on the street after leaving but at that point I just parked in their staging area, screw that lol

Bottom line is the lumper service did a prompt job but the warehouse employees suck. They screwed up and gave the lumper the wrong PO's (aledgedly). Obviously takes them forever to count, if they even can. Avoid if possible.

Thats Americold for you. If they have a counting problem I would have not paid twice. That is a problem between Americold and the lumper service, not the driver. You would have to somewhat think if its some kind of scam to hit the driver up twice for money. When I used to pull reefer, I would have to hit up Americold all the time. Worst shipper/receiver to do business with.

This is one of the reasons i dont do reefer anymore. With dry van i average only 4 lumpers a year.

Even then, a lot of dry grocery the lumper fee is prepaid. IIRC Nestlé does that.

Wow Americold seems to have problems coast to coast. I was at one in Modesto what a bunch of jokers in that place!!!!!! There was one problem after another with just about every truck they had there including the local drivers. Hope my number dosen't come up again for a load to go in that place again. What a complete disaster that place was.

I do have to say there are really good americolds out there. The one in Henderson NV is awesome, the one in San Antonio TX was in and out in 45 minutes.

In regards to this gouldsboro PA location I'd have to say 95% of grocery warehouses are better than this ####hole
