hello, all i know my account is new i tried to use the search feature before i made a post, and I'm not entirely sure that this is the right section for this.

does anyone have any experience with amazon load board? im a solo day cab driver that hauls from CA to AZ/NV/OR/NORCAL/Utah. My question is about the delivery times being unrealistic and iv asked some season drivers if they know something i do not about HOS, For example load going from Fontana CA to Salem Oregon in 22hrs time. which is approx. 980+ miles how is this even possible? some of these guys out here are taking those loads and i wondering how they are even making it.

    They're not. But that's not Amazon's problem.

Local to the Midwest, Menard's has the reputation for being an awful backhaul only.

"Take this low-pay load, or go back empty. We don't care."

I guess they don't need to pay anything when folks are beating down the door to haul for them.

I saw that and thought the same. I'm baffled.

I know a guy in Charlotte area that would make good money on cross town DC moves at peak times - but that's about it. And they stiffed him on a trailer move recently and he's had a lot of trouble with recourse.

Amazon is an evil corporation that will exploit you. I would rather dead head to my next destination than haul a load for them. Please reconsider, there are plenty of other load boards where you can make an honest living. I bet you could haul local and make better money. Do yourself a favor and get DAT or Truckstop app. It is a hundred bucks a month but you will make that back on the first load. Good luck
