Does anyone have any information if the air bag has wear marks? Like the strings exposed or broken, if that’s a violation or does it have to be a crack or leaking air?

    nextgentrucker Thanks this.

I wouldn't worry about it but if it bothers you trim the string flush with the bag.

Fix the problem before it becomes a problem.

It only takes about an hour to change if the part is available.

I changed them. Just didn’t have my OOS criteria book on hand and needed to make a decision. I think I made the right choice. Thanks

Good call, POW,,when an air bag blows, and the fun stops there. The "string" is no different than a cord on a tire, clearly a weak spot. They look a bit weather checked anyway, I'd think that would raise a red flag at inspection. One more thing, looks like a lot of air in that bag, is the ride adj. lever correct?

You are correct. There is either a ton of air in that bag or the suspension is unloaded to the max.

If the OP's air bags are normally riding like this I would inspect the leveling valve adjustment and the rear suspension ride height like suggested.
