Never been real crazy about the air spoiler or wing heard them called both, but I am curious if they really help with fuel mileage when pulling a tall wagon, if they are adjustable if so is it a guessing game or is there a method. And last did they cause long term cracking to sleeper roof?

There was a thread about them not long ago. They also talked about whale tails. Try a search with that and see what you come up with. It was a good thread.

Have a day cab with 189" wheel base and pull van half the time. Everyone I talked to claimed they gained half a mpg. Wanted to believe it but figured you would gain at least a few tenths. I wanted the adjustable one/easy to take off if I ever had hopper bottom into old mills. I am almost sure I gained NOTHING ! Except my pocket is $3000 lighter for having bought a new one $400 and $1000 for brackets and the rest labor to take headliner down etc. and install. I hate to say it but I have never been involved in an industry that is so full of BS. However in your case you might gain something because you have less space between the sleeper and trailer. Unless you have 2 feet or less between truck and trailer I don't think it helps a bit.

I have no experience with them myself but I think one of the biggest determiners of whether it will be successful or not is your trailer gap. If it is large then it won't as much because you are pushing air up with plenty of space for more air to get pulled down into the gap causing drag. If your sleeper brings you close to the trailer then you will likely see more success.

Spoilers / wing help as does ( noted in other post ) closing up the gap between your tractor and the trailer , have a booklet on testing that was done in a lab / windtunnel and then on the highway to confirm the findings .

Found the info ,wing type Roof Deflector up to 6% savings , full rooftop deflector up to 15% , side skirts 3% , 15 cab extenders 2% , and a big gawdy bug deflector can cost you 1.5%

Thanks for telling me about the other threads I done a search but had for got about them being called whale tails. I'm gonna pass it was one of them deals a guy owes me money I probably will never see, offered to give me that to settle up. No more than what they seem to help I will keep a dry roof. Oh and his bill is way more than its worth but something better than a poke in the eye I guess
