I currently have a Volvo 780 and it has a pretty good ride without the air ride front axle but it could be better since we are a team and better ride = better sleep. I’m wondering how much better it would be if I did have such an axle. In some of the other threads I have noticed that people have issues with alignment with air ride axles. Is it worth the extra cost and hassle for a better ride? Is it easy to retrofit an air ride axle in a truck with a conventional spring front axle?

A few say that the Hendrickson Airtek steer axle is hard to align. @Johny41 had over 1.8m on one and hated it I currently have 1.1m and have had issues with Bridgestone's not making it to 100k. I run Michelin now and happy. No complaint.

I've had two of them, no issues. I run Michelins.

Someone ran a red light and hit us one time. Whie it was in the shop they give us a Volvo to use whith an air ride front. I wish I would have never drove it. Most beautiful smooth thing to ever ride in. I don't think I could live with the part in a heavy crosswind it felt like you were all over the place though.
