I got tired of the dust levels in the sleeper and cab, so I bought a "Holmes" brand air cleaner. Its smaller than a printer, and the same profile, meaning it's not a tower that is tippy when turning corners. It runs all night (along with a fridge/freezer and a bunk heater) and doesn't drain the batts out. The air is much better in the sleeper now, and the white noise makes it easier to sleep in noisy truck stops.

If you're in the market for one, consider this model: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Holmes-AER1-Desktop-Air-Purifier/22176444

I have the same one. I smoke, but the smell of stale smoke drives me nuts. This filter cut down the smell by a good 80% or more.
downside is that my 1st one only lasted 2 weeks. returned it and got a second one, and its on week 4 and still going strong.

    VisionLogistics Thanks this.

Thanks. I've been thinking of getting one to cut down on the dust.

It's been helping the dust problem a lot, yes. Used to be that when a sun ray shined in the cab I'd see a ton of dust particles floating around. Now the problem is gone unless I slap a seat or something. I do run mine all the time though. Not sure if just a few hours a day would clean it up or not.

I turned my truck into my second house I have a purifier and a dehumidifier. It is true that being comfortable makes a huge difference as I sleep like a log and can easily drive for 11 hours if I have to without even feeling tired. I would recommend the purifier that has a washable filter so you don't have to buy replacement filters like the Walmart brands.
