I interviewed with Airgas yesterday and have an interview next week with Air Products. Does anyone have any knowledge on who has the better pay and work environment? Thanks

call up the union hall and ask, both of them are going to be teamsters in Chi town...

Both terminals are north of me up in Wisconsin. I won't drive for a union outfit.

Pintlehook Thanks this. -
Do yourself a favor not don't think u know me, or my work experience. Just because I have a BA in criminal justice from a major university doesn't make me smarter or better than you.

regardless, it doesn't matter if you do or don't like unions, you live in a union dense area for jobs. cryogenic tankers, welding gas, etc, are common jobs represented by Teamsters. if you want to find out about these jobs, the union will be able to tell you the pay and benefits, and how they treat their drivers.
AND, if you don't want a union job that bad, call the company in advance and ask them, i'm sure they will tell you up front.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 7, 2015

just looked it up, Airgas in New Berlin Wi is Teamsters local 200...

Being that I interviewed there and was offered a position there and there was zero talk about it being a union shop means that your supposed info is wrong. Then again, what would you know any way??

Then again, there are plenty of truckers who don't like facts getting in the way of what they think is a witty but grossly uninformed post. I won't name specific names
