just replaced the air brake control/safety valve on a 2000 freightliner fld120 xl...i drew out a sketch and marked everything before starting and would be 100 % sure i got it all back correctly but between phones ringing, people interupting i am now only about 73% sure...could someone please help me out here i am supposed to be 5 states away from here on tuesday and without some assistance its not going to happen, which should lead to my living in a tent pretty quick...before installing the only problem was the parking side valve wouldnt pop out at low pressure...pressure build was fine and stayed between 100-115 pounds...now, after installation emergency/trlr side valve will not stay in, and pressure on the parking side will build to 150 plus before the trlr/emergency side gets to 100....the only thing i did besides change the valve is i had the glad hands hooked together to keep out moisture and did without thinking push in the trlr valve the first time while lines were hooked...the valve immediatly popped out and it dawned on me the lines were hooked together...not sure if this might have caused my new problems or not....anyway here is how i hooked the lines to the dash valve...
.exhaust port #3-yellow hose
supply port # 11-green hose
trl del port #21-orange hose
supply port #12-two red hoses
trac del port #22-black hose and two electric sensors
with valve installed in dash and looking down at it from the top the ports are as follows
top row left to right -- 21 trl del----12 supply---22 trac del
bottom row left to right -- 3 exhaust---11 supply
new valve is exact copy of old one maybe ports are different ?..maybe bad new valve ?...maybe i messed up something with the glad hands hooked together ?...maybe something else failed ?..freightliner is so secretive with their proprietary information i think i would have to be cleared by the secret service to get a simple air line routing diagram which i really do not have time for not to mention they said i would have to be authorized by my local f/l dealer who every time i have been there has been nothing but rude as well you get the drift i cant really say what i think here...always been one to not go where i felt unwanted and that is one of them...and not really looking forward to taking off the valva again if i dont have to that thing reminds me of my ex wife if you know what i mean...if you can help PLEASE DO if you cant but you have this same truck please do a brother a favor, go out, pop off the top of your dash, take several pics of inside there well lit and post or send to me i would greatly appreciate it so will the kid if i can keep buying his groceries....thankx

Try these people. They are awesome. I had a crazy odd issue about 10 years ago. I called them told the guy what was going on, he asked me what my truck was and then told me everything I ever wanted to know about the brake system. He told me exactly where my problem was. It was a line that had trash in it. I did what he told me and that was the last time I ever had that issue.

i appreciate it oilfield...their phone will be ringing dead on 8 am they will be reading my email about that time
...funny how you can not get any info on a 12 year old truck without so much bull..while doing disaster restoration i was cleared to enter NASA easier than i can get a routing diagram from f/l and at NASA you are followed everywhere, even the john, by a soldier with a machine gun in his hand...but...they really got secrets...how secretive could a 12 yr old routing diagram for an old truck be ?...please....i checked the bendix website but couldnt find anything but then again im not really what you would call computer literate just an old country boy....thankx again....dixieworkx

Ck this thread out http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...3-looking-century-class-air-line-diagram.html
looks like a Freightliner deal helped answer the above links question.
Good luck -
What does the receipt say- what valve is it?
-
reciept says BHS-16988 MV# valve
old valve has four numbers, 16932, 5901230, 1G1206T0446, 5005077....none of these numbers would get a result on the bendix website search although the valve is bendix -
thats a MV3 not MV#
-
MV3 is correct. I'm looking for a diagram but Bendix website is not working for me.

Unless I looked at it backwards- you may have the tractor and the trailer DELIVERIES backwards.Last edited: Dec 7, 2012

is it the one piece or 2 piece design. freightliner and kenworth used both. i replaced one got it from the store pre assembled to find out 12 hours later they set the top on 180degress out. every bolt and air gap had a place still just the wrong places it was funny because when you pressed the brakes the released. when you let up off the pedal the engaged.....stupid but never know just throwing it out there
