Is there a way to upgrade the air horn on a 2012 Cascadia???
Is there a way to hook up train horns using the existing stock system on the truck?
Was looking at some hornblasters
HornBlasters Dolphin Air Horn
not looking for anything crazy but definitely need something a little louder than this stock stuff.
Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

These are super easy to hook up - United Pacific - get another solenoid, bigger port.
Quick connect to blank plug on tank - simple power switch and ground to inside truck.

Do what blaireandgretchin said and be done with it. However, your not really gonna get train horn sound. Just a louder seeming horn because they won’t be on the roof. You would need half inch line ran with a dump valve. The horns advertised as train horns are very small inlet ports and even smaller with the electric solenoid included.

Not to be a wet blanket, but if you need a train horn on your truck, you are probably frustrated, and might need some anger management courses. Kidding, before you all jump all over me, but I think defensive driving is better than trying to scare someone out of your way with an incredibly loud horn. That could get you in more trouble as most drivers reaction to something like that, is to hit the brakes. Besides, I think they take a lot of air, and blasting one might make your brake valves pop,,,

Did you use the electric solenoid or run air straight to it? -

I put aftermarket horns on my Volvo. Was super easy. I plumbed 1/2 inch hard DOT line into an empty port on an air tank amd ran the air line to the solenoid on the new horn.
For electrical I just unplugged the factory horn solenoid and plugged that wire into my own wiring that goes to the new solenoid. Doing it this way the factory horn button still works... It just activates my horns and the factory ones are disabled.
Mine are mounted on a cowling support bracket umder the sleeper, just had to drill a few holes and bolt it on.

I was just surprised that they still sell that one. It's been around for a long time.
