Air Breather filter change

I’m reading that on the DD15, the crankcase breather cannot be reused, and once it reaches its life, it needs to be replaced completely. Is this correct?

I’ve never had any dealings with the new Detroit.

 

I usually change mine once a year. In October, so I always remember too! Prices are always changing, Anywhere from $45-$90 ea.

 

Once per year so roughly 95 to 100k miles.

 

I use a washable K&N filter, pays for its self after 2 washings. I use power washer and these are oil free and less restricted than paper.
When looking at your paper filter remember that most bring air to the inside, so the outside always looks clean., dirt is on the inside.

 

The old flashlight trick, look for the light shing through.
