Have an 07 T600 with a CAT. Wondering who makes a decent auto start system for when voltage gets low. I ran across Viper in my search. I know they do "remote" start. But saw nothing in their documentation about voltage monitoring.
Aftermarket low voltage auto start?

By 07 every truck manufacturer offered a version of opti idle. If you have no luck finding one just for low voltage starting, that could be a solution.

Be interesting to see what you come up with,,,

Does that mean you have to leave key in run position? Would that mean starter solenoid (and fuel priming pump if you have one) are constantly energized?
-
I don't believe so. Basically wouldn't be much different than remote start on any car/truck. Main thing is either a sensor to make sure the truck isn't in gear or personally making darn sure it isnt in gear.
Other than that it would have a sensor reading the battery that would send signal to the system to start when battery was low.

If I hear of something that is feasible, I'll make sure I post the info here.

All my vehicles I've owned none of them have that. Guess I'm old school that way. Key works just fine and if I have to suffer for a while in hot or cold car for a while then so be it. -
I know years ago you could option trucks with a starter in the sleeper, no longer available?

Vanner IdleWatch for fuel efficiency for work trucks
I have seen this product installed before. Can't offer any feedback on performance or quality. An option though and the only one that came to mind.RustyBolt Thanks this. -
