Ok this post is mainly a Review of ATDT 3 week cdl School. I had been Talking to a recruiter at ATDT for about 2 months with a start date set a few weeks in advance. I was originally going as a U.S. Express prehire. The School was supposed to provide lodging at a hotel, transportation back and forth. They were supposed to pay for any retesting needed and it would just increase tuition. I was told they did physical, drug test, permit and road test on site at the facility. Since I was a Prehire everything was supposed to cost me $150 for permit and test the first time. Two days before I was supposed to be there I got a phone call from school recruiter saying they changed my prehire to Pam Transport (Without a explanation ) They sent me a link for the new app for Pam. I contacted them to let the school know I submitted the app and to make sure my arrival date was still the same. The Recruiters exact words was be there on sunday at 430 to catch the bus to the hotel.

Sunday 4:30 I arrived. The director didn't have me on the list. He told me to go ahead in check in the hotel. I got to the hotel (InTowne Suites 25miles away in decatur) They didn't have a room for me so they gave my someone elses spot that didn't show up on time. Got to my room found out we were sharing a 2 bed hotel room for 3 of us. Found out the next mourning the school decided it was not going to provide us with transportation. There was many of us that was just dropped off because transportation was supposed to be provided. That morning I was asked to come in to the office. my recruiter was sending me home because of her mistake (The prehire program between pam and the school was not in place yet.) While I was outside trying to get someone to drive hours to come get me my recruiter comes back to me and said I could stay that there going to try and figure things out.

Turns out people was being sent to a dr office in town to do the drug test the next day they were being send 30 miles away in russel to do the physical and all the way back to cullman to do the permit test. I was not allowed to do any because of my paper work. While I was there I noticed everyone even the prehires was being charged out of pocket to retest permit and the road test. People were having to go home because between having to retest and pay gas to get back n forth they were to broke to stay. There was hardly ever more than one instructor on the driving range at a time there was always 8 to 20 students out on the range practicing skill test between 2 trucks if we were lucky. We weren't being taught by the staff they just expected us to get in the truck and know what to do. Never once while I was there did any staff go over the pretrip. Students had to teach each other or learn on there own. The school had maybe one truck that could be dot certified. the Equipment was truly #### among ####. Students on there third week of school was being forced to check out of the hotel and stay at the directors mobile home on his property. I was told by several people it was a bunch of old mattress out of the trucks just laying on the floor and the trailer was falling apart. (Roaches wouldn't even inhabit this place)

I was pretty ticked that i was going to owe thousands of dollars for training that didn't exist Like most students I only had the $150 that we were told it would cost. I did not want to go home just cause of running out of money. I contacted my recruiter at pam trucking to voice some of my concern and to possibly see about a different facility. My recruiter was great he told me he would try and help me. In the contract between Pam and ATDT it stated that the facility was supposed to supply transportation, and pay for retesting, and a certain number of instructors per however many students. He told me not to worry Pam is going to make sure im done right. I never complained to and school staff cause I knew nothing good would come of it.

Next day after talking to my pam recruiter I went to School half way thru the day I was called into the office where the owner Darryl Green of RD green trucking said I was ungratefull and I was going home. (Pam Trucking apparently gave them a call about there contract) All my time and money wasted.

The staff are very polite and nice. they will scam you financially. they do not fulfil there end of any agreements, they do not provide adequate training

AFFORDABLE TRUCK DRIVING TRAINING IN MOULTON ALABAMA AINT MUCH BETTER THAN A SCAM.

Why don't you just go to a trucking company school and be done with it?
www.cfidrive.com which is CFI has a reputation for treating their students respectfully, so I doubt you will find any bad reviews of them.

Ask about that when you contact a recruiter. Some companies aren't as strict as others.
I think Stevens Transport is less strict, but can't guarantee that. Stevens starts a new class every Monday. Probably send you to Knoxville, TN or Columbus, GA

If worse comes to worse and you are diagnosed with "sleep apnea", then look at www.rpmhst.com for sleep apnea supplies and other information about that.
    Here's from the website:
"Welcome, you have come to the right place. This is a "One Stop Shop" for anyone who needs to be tested and treated for sleep apnea. If you need this test for your CDL license you couldn't have found a better partner to work with. In addition to low cost testing and supplies, we provide FREE lifetime compliance monitoring."

Millis Transfer is a good outfit and trucks set up for driver comfort.
Titan Transfer in Shelbyville, TN - don't provide lodging though.
    KLLM Transport in Mississippi.
    Online Transport - Indianapolis
    TLD Logistics in Tennessee
CRST - might be ok if you ask for a dedicated Caterpillar run. Lots of west coast runs on that account.
    Swift Transportation
Celadon - might pay for cdl school. I think they have a contract with some school at one of their terminals.
    Online Transport in Indianapolis.
    Evergreen Transport - Evergreen,AL
Cypress Truck Lines - Jacksonville, FL
CR England as a last resort. Sometimes they have a 6 mos. contract which is a good deal.
