    I'm confused.

    I see Kenworth Aerocab sleeper sizes listed in The Truck Paper as 50", 54", 60", 62", 63" & 64"

Did KW really make all these sizes?

Does anybody know how the length is measured since the sleeper sort of wraps around the side of the cab unlike a Unibilt?

Can anybody help me with BBC lengths for the different size sleepers?

I need to have a short enough tractor to get a 48' trailer down to 65' overall.

    Thanks for any help.

After just looking at what is available from KW, there is and 86", two 72", two 60", and the 38" all available as aerocabs. The ones listed as with two are stand up and flat top

The other sizes may be for the T2000 or T700 I didnt look into those.

I know KW makes the 38, 62, 72 aerocab sleepers for the T660, T800, and W900L. With the exception of the 38, you can get double bunks in both the 62 and 72. I also know there is a modular flat top version of 42in and 60 if I am mistaken. Hope this helps.

T200 I believe is 75in and one smaller one at 60in.

    T700 is one size only.

I have never been able to figure out how and where they come up with those sleeper measurement in inches. Freightliners say 70 inches for the Centurys I had, and now my Volvo 780 says 77 inches, using either number for those trucks and measuring from the back wall forward meant that the back half of the driver's seat was in the sleeper. I always wanted to try logging sleeper berth while driving and use that measurement!

To be under the 65 foot limit you will need to consider the tractors wheelbase and the positioning of the 5th wheel too. The Centurys I had, 70 inch bunk, 120 BBC, and around 228 inch wheel base, with the 5th wheel centered over the axles would make that with a 48 footer.

but if you look at some of the specs they say things like 120 BBC which is what the regular hood Century was or 112 for the short hood, and either model you could get with a 58 or 70 inch sleeper. And I could never figure out where they were measuring the sleeper from, maybe to the end of the wing on the outside of the back, cuz there sure was NOT that much inside.

Kenworth measures the aerocabs from the back seat. They measure the modular sleepers from the back of the cab. If you have an old modular 60" its basically the same as the 72" aerocab. They take the same amount of frame space. 42" is the only modular sleeper KW makes anymore. Compare a 48" unibilt with a 62" aerocab. 63" unibilt with 72" aerocab. 70" unibilt with 86" aerocab(studio).
