Wondering if anyone has got preference on where to sell a truck if, and when, that time comes- providing not going for trade-in. The obvious places would be commercial truck trader, Craigslist and thru dealer but maybe I’m missing something. Dealers take a sizable commission, that’s obvious. I’m contemplating selling a Pete 2017.

if you're still working as a driver, maybe put out "feelers" at the truck stops? to see what responses you get?? might get an o/o that'll scoop it up.

with the impending recession coming, you might wanna dump that thing sooner, rather than later.

Put a For Sale sign in the window of the truck. If you list it on Craigslist you will get scammers trying to give you fake checks for the vehicle. A lot of used trucks are for sale now, and prices are falling. It can be harder to exit the trucking industry than starting in the industry. Good Luck.

I agree that marketplace is probably the best, 2nd best would be craigslist.

For both, short ad with a couple pictures, then do yourself a favor and get a bunch of pictures and whatever pertinent maintenance records you are going to share, along with a longer description and send that as the first message out the go for any tire kicker. SO much of your time will be wasted by morons that have no money and no clue.

Be patient with non english speakers ... they got the $$$ and usually #### around the least.

I would use Truck Paper. Even if you have to pay a little bit for it there will definitely be a lot of people that see it.

I’ve sold several trucks and one was through marketplace and the others were from word of mouth. I just talked to all the mechanics I knew. If they helped sell the truck I have em some cash.
