Wanted to see if anyone might have a suggestion for a problem I ran into. I just retired from The military, and I have a CDL that I kept renewing since my over the road days in the early 2000’s. It seems most if not all companies here either want at least 1 year of recent experience, or recently graduated from a trucking school.
I feel like my only option would be to just go through trucking school already possessing a medical card and class A. I’m hoping someone might have been in a similar situation and doesn’t mind sharing how they overcome this particular issue. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have, it is greatly appreciated!

When I needed to go out on the road. I found a small company. They didn't care about me being local instead of OTR winter driving in the mountains. Like the megas required. Didn't even give me a road test.
