I worked there in '04/'05 as an instructor. Most instructors were good, one was half/###, IMO. Fast forward to 2011, I don't know. Juan is great, don't know the rest.
spunkymonkey Thanks this. -
Thanks for sharing! i went down to the school yesterday and got a tour / asked some questions... is it just me or does the lot seem a bit small? the tractors seemed to be in good shape everything else checked out, except possibly the lot being small for backing and parallel parking

Yes it is small. But big enough to still train. It can be a problem if two trucks/instructors are using it at the same time. The owners (two brothers) keep a lot of junk around, kinda looks tacky. I use to take my students to a near-by dead end street and do skills there.

Hey guys, im signed in with A.S of D ( Advance School of Driving ) there was a 295 down payment to reserve my spot in class.
I start Tuesday July 5th at 630am sharp where another portion of the schooling cost is due, $600. my 3rd and final payment will be on the last week of training, another $600. in total it's about 1600 dollars which included my physical, and the dmv fee.
Also if you get your permit prior to attending the school you get extra time in the trucks while other students spend the first 2 days reviewing for the written test.
EDIT: financial aid is available, they directed me to the unemployment office in Rancho Cucamonga by the DMV on Archibald and 9th street.Last edited: Jul 1, 2011

Please Let us know how the schooling experience went... I'm too looking forward with ASD and Also United Truck Driving School (I'll hopefully study now and then get my permit before i start my schooling) but never know

Mentioning permits reminded me of a student who showed up one day WITHOUT his permit. He thought he didn't need it. Moral of the story: have your permit/medical card on you.

Gt4jk, He means the green medical card you get from the DMV. Also there is a doctors office just up the street from the Rancho Cucamonga DMV on the corner of Archibald and arrow ( visible coming up Archibald from the DMV, it will be on your left hand side ) where they give the physicals for $55 bux.
gt4jk Thanks this.
