I plan to add a passenger endorsment to my license and wondered if California will have me do another road test and skills. Plan to leave otr for local work next year after I get a year in with my current company driving transit buses or trailer shuttling with a local company.
Anybody knows that is from California or not ?

Pretty sure passenger endorsement is anither road test in every state. And you have to do it in a passenger bus I believe because they want to see you do a pretrip on it.

The bus also maneuvers a lot different from a truck. Making turns is different without the pivot point.
Also if you are sitting in front of the steer axle there is a whole different feeling to it.Demonrogue Thanks this. -
My NM CDL, I only have to test for "A" commercial bus. Anything below or private I'm good. I understand many bus companies can certify.
Demonrogue Thanks this.
