Hi everyone. I'm looking to apply as a Driver Apprentice for Fedex Freight here on the east coast. I am a bus operator for MTA. Just had an accident (my fault). Had one 8 months ago in September too at work. Nothing before those two the others years. Not sure if it makes a difference, but the police was called for this one that just happened. Though it was driving for work, both will be on my abstract, correct? Anyone know if this will be acceptable by their standards? Job description says: "Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards"
    Thanks in advance.

Pull your mvr. Unless you were cited it generally won’t be there.

Disclose the accidents either way, if they aren’t on your MVR you should be fine. Even if they are, you should still be fine so long as they aren’t major.

Let me guess, considering the terminal in North Arlington, NJ?

Definitely pull the collision reports. Here you can’t be cited unless it’s DUI or reckless driving on private property but you can be found at fault.

Good sized barn, terrible yard though lol, around 150 doors I think. You'll have plenty of work.

Thanks everyone. Once the online application is submitted and the status shows "under consideration", it usually takes how long to receive a call for the next step? A few weeks?

Could be days, weeks or never. Depending on the size of the applicant pool.

    islesfan9 Thanks this.

I had a rear end accident last year driving for my current job as a bus operator for MTA. I was automatically disqualified. It wasn't on my DMV print out. That showed 0 accidents but I wanted to be honest.

I think that you have to have at least one roll over to qualify....since this is an industry standard for FedEx to get on board.......(j/k)

like any place else, a good driving record, get your DMV report and see what's on there.
