95' 378. AC is not working. System is charged but compressor clutch will not engage. No power at compressor. It does engage if I jump it off a 12V source. I have power in and out of hi and low pressure switches. Any thing I'm missing or do I need to start looking for a broken wire somewhere?

I had the same problem today. Mine was a blown fuse. I have an international though.
-
You check fuse in fuse box by clutch pedal?
-
Yes, fuse and relay are fine.

I think that year model may have a thermostat around the evaporator. You need to make sure you have power to both sides of that when you have the A/C switched on.

The Thermostat switch opens to disrupt the 12 volt power to the circuit AFTER the switch.
Using a volt meter place the probes across the switch and read for power, if the switch is open the meter will read voltage, if the thermostat switch is closed the voltmeter will not read any voltage because its just like putting both of the voltmeters probes on the Positive terminal. You need BOTH sides of power to read voltahe.
Positive leg of power and the Negative leg of power.bigguns Thanks this. -
Doesn't power flow from from fan switch, to A/C function switch, to thermostat, to high pressure them low pressure to clutch?
Turn the thermostat off and on with the meter or test light in the clutch wire, that will tell the tale.
If you have power at pressure switch on both sides but not the clutch I'm thinking broke wire or bad connection at a harness connector.bigguns Thanks this. -
There should be three switches on Pete. One usually on driver side around the top of radiator. One on driver side on lines near fan solenoid. And one on passenger side on lines on cab. One is low pressure, one is high pressure, and one is fan control. I can't remember which is which without looking. Wore out is right about if power is at the switches then probably harness. Time for a loadpro tool.
I have a Volvo at the shop now and they butchered the wires on it. It was an APADS system and they took the APADS pressure switches off and installed some switches off a car and they have butt connections every foot on the wiring.wore out Thanks this. -
Thanks guys. Figured it out. One of the female relay connectors in the fuse block was pushed back in and barely making an intermittent contact.
Anyone know who makes the fuse panels? some of the connections are getting rough and Pete will only sell an entire fuse panel with wire harness. $1,300 no thanks. -
ck fuses first but also do forget to ck for loose wires
