among other things. im having some issues with my A/C.

    1. Im getting constant power to my ac clutch. followed the wire and its wired into my ignition switch. im sure it should go to a pressure switch somewhere..so i dont know where that is, or what original wire the ac clutch is supposed to connect to.

    2. When my AC is on, it only blows out the defrost vent. i can hear the blower motor turning on, so i know thats working.

    3. When the AC did blow through the dash vents, it wasnt strong at all.

I can't really help you on the A/C wiring issue, but the Pressure Switch is usually mounted on the metal refrigerant line, try to look for that and you should be able to trace the wire from there.

The Defrost issue could be the Blend Door Actuator or Motor is not working causing the air to be diverted to the Defrost Only Mode.

On your dashboard, move the A/C Control Lever and see or hear if the Door is opening or closing.

You may have to remove the lower dash access panels to really see what's going on.

If the Blend Door is Manual operated one, the connector to the metal rods that move the door to different positions could be broken or disconnected.

sounds like the vacuum motor(s) are not working. you will have to find them, disconnect the vacuum line and apply vacuum to each one and see if the rod moves. if not, then there is a leak in the vacuum diaphram.

Those doors are on cables. No vacuum motors, jeez. It's probably broken on the other end. Double check that a/c, should never be wired direct to the key switch. If it is, then someone has been monkeying around.

somebody definitely has been lazy. i dont think they even bothered looking for a pressure switch, which is what im hunting for, along with the the original wire thats supposed to be plugged into the ac clutch.

ill try and find a way to check the doors to see if its stuck. its the only thing i can think of...

does anyone have a wiring diagram that shows which is the original wire under the hood for the ac clutch? i pulled my seat off and found the preasure switches...now i need to find the original wire so when i jump the pressure switches i can see if the clutch comes on
