Is Able Body the same company who use to make the old Ford Aeromax sleepers?

I'm not sure if they even make sleepers anymore but they have made lots of the old ones for Mack, Pete, Ford and Freightliner. Even the sleeper on Kris Kristoffersen's black Mack was an Able Body.
Judging from their website it looks like they've moved on to more profitable ventures.

I found some blip on the ATHS forum awhile back.

    Here it is: http://forums.aths.org/PrintTopic94148.aspx

I have a 64" also. Have you tried a different Freightliner dealer? Some parts guys are better than others. I know where I go at Neeley Coble in Nashville they have a special book for Able Body parts.

I can't believe they wouldn't still be able to get a window gasket.

Short of Freightliner you can try generic gaskets and match them up. Look in catalogs for custom vans, RVs, campers, pick up cap mfrs.,even JC Whitney might have something you could cut to length.

Well if Able Body is the same company then you can still contact them. They are building work truck bodies now and are out of the sleeper biz. They have extra parts still available and can still build sleeper parts for special orders($$). Im sure they could at least guide you in the right direction. There's a thread on here(TTR) somewhere with their phone number. That's how I found out about then a few years ago.
