I had an interview with ABF Freight 2 weeks ago and I received my copy of the background check and driving history 1 week ago. Both were clear. Does anyone know what is left and how much longer is needed before I can start? Thanks in advance
ABF Freight application process?

Hey there bud there's a couple threads on here about abf, I don't want to steer you wrong but I have heard from many drivers that it takes a while to get in with them. If you don't mind me asking where you from and have you applied to any other LTL companies.
Ricky3610 Thanks this. -
From Victorville, CA. I barely got my CDL in April. And yes to USF Reddaway and UPS Freight
layover6, bottomdumpin and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
That's cool brother, also try to apply to old dominion and any other LTL's out there and right now since it's heavy season a lot of ltl's are hiring.

Don't limit yourself to union only LTL companies. I drove for usf Holland for 3 years and left after the older teamster 'brother's were voting against the newer ones like me. They are NOT united there or at YRC. Sad. I'm at RL carriers now and making a lot more and no union bs.
Texas_hwy_287 and Ricky3610 Thank this. -

If I may give my humble cents you better off with LTLS such as estés rl carriers southeastern averitt saia and many others.

To keep there vacation weeks and other benefits. For example , they would top out at 5 weeks vacation but concession vote would top new guys at 3 weeks. Their pay would be 58cpm but newer hires 50cpm. Stuff like that .
Ricky3610 Thanks this.
