That’s a big list, but if you break it down a little easier I can fill in the answers for you.

Each terminal is slightly different regarding raises, but Florida was 5.25% this year.

Most PD drivers are making about 32.30 an hour. Trucks go 65 on cruise 68 on pedal typically.

I can find out Linehaul pay tomorrow, and no they don’t pay for drop and hook. That’s part of your “salary” and job duty. 84cpm may be the Georgia scale.

They say CPM but really it’s more of a “this trip pays this much” type of scale. If you take the long way Coopers not paying you the extra miles/time. If there’s construction on i4 and you have to an alternative road they’ll give you supplemental pay, but it’s never 100%.

Also dedicated Linehaul is catered to; you generally have your empties ready at the minimum the dolly is placed under the rear, but it’s your job to hook everything up and pre-trip.

If you’re picking a set 99.9% of the time it’s ready and waiting you. Some terminal managers may require you to dock your lead trailer at smaller terminals with no/limited dock workers.

Also, I’ve seen guys have CBs in their truck but I’m 100% sure when safety sees you reaching towards the dash in an awkward position driving down the highway they’re gonna tell you to shut that crap off or work somewhere else.

They have driver facing cameras, and when off duty OTR you can cover it. It cannot be covered when the truck is moving. You can cover it with your windshield visor just FYI in most cascadias.

So sounds like they pay kinda like rl carriers where they pay you based upon the trip your running so they probably factor in drop and hook pay into the salary of what that run pays based upon miles ect.. sounds very similar too rl.

I believe rl carriers hooks up your trailers for you or atleast puts the dolly under your light trailer or lines them up and you have too connect and if its a small terminal then they expect you too park lead at dock if not both trailers. I work for fedex ground for 3yrs no with driver facing cameras so im not worried about that.. it sucks but i dont use my phone while driving so im fine with it but it is a invasion of privacy definitely.

Thats weird cruise is set at 65mph but pedal set too 68mph thought it would be the other way around thats interesting.

    Do teams get good miles?

Do team trucks have inverters and or refrigerators?

Do you get detention and or break down pay after 2hrs?

Would you recommend AAA COOPER FOR ME AND MY WIFE TOO TEAM DRIVE?

I KNOW THE ANSWER IS PROBABLY NO BUT DO THEY ALLOW PETS IN TEAM TRUCKS IF YOUR ESTABLISHED OR IN MY CASE HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM?

YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD LET PETS SINCE THEY BOUGHT OUT BY KNIGHT AND SWIFT AND I BELIEVE THEY BOTH ALLOW PETS ON THEIR TRUCKS. WE BEEN BRINGING OUR CAT SINCE WE STARTED DRIVING BUT I NOTICE IT SEEMS TOO BE A TREND IN LTL THAT NON ALLOW PETS..

I WAS GUNNA GO WITH RL CARRIERS BUT THEY PULLED SOME BS SO THATS NOT GUNNA HAPPEN SO I GAVE UP ON THEM.

ALSO I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE AND ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS IT REALLY IS HELPFUL.

I only have the Florida pay scale it’s .76 a mile. I’d imagine Georgia must be slightly higher because Florida has no income tax.

Yeah i suppose that does make sense i forget Florida doesn't have any state tax must be nice.. Florida is an amazing state.. you would think all ltl carriers team pay would all be atleast.80cpm by now. So its safe to say the 84cpm posting i applied for is with the new pay raise? 84cpm is competitive pay for sure. I think rl carriers pay with there new raise for teams averages out too .86cpm so 84cpm is still good pay.. estes not sure it just says solo 71-81cpm pay even under team positions.. not sure what old dominion pays teams they never have job positions in my area that ive ever seen..

All LTLs pay about the same here. I would recommend it; we have a couple in Orlando that does it and I believe the truck clears 200k. That being said, you’re living in the truck running.

You’ll l experience very little down time; your trailers are alway ready for you to hook up and leave.

I recommend em, but I only has the perspective of a city driver, outbound coordinator, and dock worker.

I’ve worked here 8 years like anyplace your have the good and the bad; I can’t say anything bad about Cooper. Reid Dove and his family with coworkers paid for my insurance deductible when hurricane Ian destroyed my home. Was not a loan, but a gift.

What that was a blessing for them too do that for you.. i like the sound of that.. glad you and your family are okay and made it through such a natural disaster. I like hearing satisfaction from drivers when they speak about their company you rarely hear it anymore. Yeah they sound like a good fit for us honestly.. we would run a 5-6 days on 1.5-2day off for hometime correct?

Ive been team driving for 5yrs so your right about living in your truck its true but its less lonely as well.. lol..

When you applied how long did it take too hear a call back? Ill give them a call later this week.. i believe i applied last Wednesday or Thursday morning so going into the weekend i figured ill hear something towards the end of the week i hope.. i need out of fedex ground too much sitting around waiting and no miles here anymore i hate it here..

Do they test you in a manual or automatic? I only drove a manual in trucking school and too take my test thats it so i know for sure im rusty..

Honestly they’ll just test you in whatever is in the yard. My terminal has 1 manual left and it’s the beater/spare. Most tractors are automatic. It took 3-months for my call back when I applied I forgot I even applied.

Your best bet is to apply, and at the end of the application it’ll spit out an application number. Go Coopers website, and grab the Terminal managers email and email him say in a professional way “hey I saw your posting I’m interested here’s my application number”.

The application number allows managers to pull your app without getting lost in a sea of apps. I’d maybe call em as well; managements a little old fashion. Sometimes corporate collects apps before they officially open a run.
