Hmmm, soo much information to take in........
-
@lonesome yes i was fired from cooper after 3years as a dockworker, i finally got my cdl's thru the company in january of this year, an i have been driving for them for 8 months, i applied for full time dedicated, and was denied because of a misdemeanor possession charge i had from 2006! I applied to cooper in 2010, and the manager who was there at the time, advised me not to put the charge on the application, cuz they were only lookin for felonies, so i didnt put it on there, an the manager hired me, without doin the background check!! I told this manager
-
About the charge upfront, an he still hired me. That manager was fired 2011, ok, the new manager had me driving, moving freight in and out of georgia for 8 months, an now that im not working for cooper, the new manager will not verify that i've been driving for them for 8 months, an now hes actually telling every prospective employer that inquire about me, that i wasnt a driver, but i was a driver in training, that drove over 17,000 miles, an you wont verify that!! Now im stuck, an cant get hired due to this manager lying!!
-
You didn't put the possession charge on your application? That's considered lying on an application. Most companies fire for that, regardless of situation. If they were only looking for felonies then putting the misdemeanor on there shouldn't have hurt your chances. The first manager was shady he deserved to be fired. The man they hire to replace him was cleaning up his mess.
-
Just because one manager was dirty doesn't mean the entire company is bad.
deathB4decaf Thanks this. -
@speeddemon you are right, but i was honest about it, that first manager is the one that lied and withheld the information, not me, and during the interview 3 years ago, before i finished the application, i asked him was he sure i should do that, an he told me yeah, it should br no problem getting you hired, their only looking for felonies!! So is it fair that i be punished for a shady managers negligence? Not only that, its been 3 years that
-
Passed, an i've worked as a part time dockworker, you dont offer any of your employees benefits, so me and my son has no insurance for 3 years, then when i get my cdl's, and im just about to go full time you pull the rug out from under me!! My thing is they should've did a baccground check in the first place, an they would've seen it on my record, just goes to show how irresponsible the management at aaa cooper is!! An now after i've been driving for you
-
For 8 months you're telling companies that i didnt drive, an i was only a dockworker, how foul is that? Then you deny my unemployment, c'mon man its not that serious, all for a dime bag of weed from 2006, that i didnt even smoke, really!! Cooper dont want you to lie to them, but its ok for them to lie, and deny all that i've done, i've been doing a full time employees job for 8 months and i didnt receive the pay or benefits for doing that job! An on top of that the new manager allowed me to jump behind the wheel of these$100,000 trucks an he never supplied me with propr
