2006 T600/ CAT C15
Where do I begin? Last year replaced compressor, dryer, condenser, fan override switch and wire harness to it, expansion valve, A/C and heater climate console( inside cab), A/C blower(on firewall), recharged the system and all worked fine. This is what happens now: as I idle on lowest RPMs A/C blows out 52-55F, as I increase RPMS the temp in the vents rises up to 62F but as travel down the road, the vents blow out air at 70-75F. I stop at a traffic light and the temp drops down to 52-55F again, start moving - it rises up and so forth and so on. Tested the system twice already, the compessor builds up good pressure, no leaks in the system. Replaced the freeze switch(inside the box on firewall where the blower is) - problem remained! Yesterday replaced pressure switch(located by the condenser coil) - problem remained! I am at a loss! Please help!
A/C works on idle but not on high RPMs

Maybe you have vent (outside) air getting into the system. Is your vent closed

Please explain. Where is the vent and how do I close it?

If it was speed related, I'd say that air was bypassing the coil, but since it's RPM related, I wonder if it's slightly overcharged, and the higher rpm is causing the HP switch to kick out too soon?

Hammer166 Thanks this.

Its not working properly at idle either, 52-55 degrees isn't that great.

sounds more like the heater water control valve is leaking, try turning off the coolant taps to the heater, or pinch the hoses off if no taps, easy and cheap test to do.

My guess is this as well .. On a 2004 t600 I used to shut off water valve to front but leave bunk on so I could get a bit off heat in a pinch if needed
