Perhaps someone more educated than myself can lend a hand.

I've got an old Utility spring ride, spead axle float. Spicer axles, 22.5 8 Lug steel wheels.

I'd prefer it have 10 lug aluminum.

Y'all point me in the right direction, please? :biggrin_25512:

and drums. Might find some 8 hole aluminum rims at a salvage yard but your studs may be to short. The lug nut threads are also a different size so add 40 lug nuts.

10_four. I appreciate that. Salvage rims, new studs and nuts sounds like a good place to start.

What about just getting 8 lug aluminum rims? If not you could probably find a few 10 stud hubs at the wreckers.

Problem running 8 lug is they're not as common. Rip up a rim and it may be a while before finding another just my .02. I've seen very few over the years not saying they're not out there just not as common

That's the rock and hard place I'm between.

On one hand, it's an old hay wagon. Nuttn fancy. On the other, I'd like to do it right.

    Appreciate the opinions

Hell if its an old hay wagon I wouldn't know that I'd do much with it then. If it isn't going to see all that much use just stock some extra parts for it when you get the time.

I suppose it comes down to use vs cost in the long run and how much it's going to hurt if you're down waiting on parts. It's like our 24.5 ######## trying to find 24.5 junk that's reasonable in this area is like pulling teeth. I suppose most would say apples to oranges but same principle all in all. Eventually since the truck is used every day 24.5s will come off and 22.5s will go on, if it was on something that was used once a month at most I wouldn't bother.

Since it's occasional use, I would dig around for an 8-lug rim AND tire. Figure a way to fasten them up underneath the trailer (separately) and you'll always have a spare.
    Easy peasy cheapest.
