7' Skipshooter

I got lucky on ebay and found a pair shipped to me for $75. Thats a steal. I would say check there, but yeah, the 7' is a tough one. I called a few shops but not many stocked over 5'. Shipping is what will get ya if you are not in the area. RollingRadios in VA stocks some...but I doubt 7'. You might try calling him.

 

i have found them in many places in stock , but they are an over sized item so shipping is more then the cost of antenna itself

If you are pulling a refer and running any kind of power (include export radio) it may cause you problems mounting it back there. But other wise any antenna will work better there try putting you 10K there. the more centered the antenna is to the vehicle the better the ground plane is

 

Unless that coil is not exposed, rather tucked between the sleeper and the trailer...then, not so good!

 

The RF will cause problems in the electronic in the refer and electronics in the refer will cause xmission and rec. problems

I run a wilson 2000 with a 95T2 I use to run mine back there on day cab with roof flaring pulling van and never had a problem actually that was the only place I could get my swr down. Only reason it's not on the back of cab now is when I go back out I will be pulling a refer but before I ran a ground down to my door hienge a couple radio shops suggesed I put it behind the cab till I told then I was going to refer
