Has anyone put seven or eight inch exhaust on the older Kenworths where the pipes run under the cab and over the frame nonaero cab. Was curious if the pipes would clear the cab. Was looking
at getting a complete kit from either four states or big rig chrome shop

4-States sells a kit for your truck but does not list it on the website or the cat. call and tell them exactly what you want and they will ship it to your door.Or tell them when you'll be there to pick it up. They install also.

7 inches with quiet inserts inside, the inserts are five inch straight through.

If your looking to keep stock elbow location, I had 6" on my last w9 with no problems. Buddy of mine has 7" and had to trim bottom of cab a little. When you order check with them, I think it's grand rock that has a flat spot in elbow to help with cab clearance

I talked to big rig chrome shop yesterday and they want to know the part number of my stock elbow. I want seven inch but don't think it will clear the cab. Anyone ever used one of these complete exhaust kits? Do they really come with everything you need?

kenworth has 3 different elbows for the aerocab. dynaflex has a pipe kit for 7 inch. you can give them your vin# or the elbow# and they will figure it out for you. it comes with everthing you need to mount them.

another option that I like on the KW's is the Pickett Elbows that they are using on the Petes, like in the pic from GP1800 above,I'm starting to see a few of those. Also call Triple R in Tx. They do excellent exhaust work.

Mine is a nonaerocab where the exhaust runs over the frame and under the cab it's a day cab. Thanks for all the helpful replies.
