If you go south to exit 86 on I5 in Oregon there is a restaurant with good food called Heaven on Earth. Good food Giant cinamon rolls.

We've stayed there for the night before. Their free wifi worked in the truck parking area. Not the fastest but can't beat free.

The casino will send the bus to pick up drivers and bring them back. The buffet was very good. I think we got a discount for showing them our CDL.

The travel center gets fresh donuts delivered every morning from a place that's a few exits down. Forget the name of the donut shop but if you ever go that way in the morning make sure you stop at the Donut shop. I think it's mile marker 110(?). Park on the exit ramp and walk on over. They have fresh donuts at great prices.

Here is the link to the thread I started about it:

When did the restaurant close? Not that it was that great to begin with.

    Yes no pay phones..

The entrance to the restuarant was boarded up with case's of drink from the store side, lights were off, no traffic, no waitresses. I didn't ask what when or why. Could throw in a who but what for ? I have no clue on the when.

There was a sign on the door, remodeling march 25th.. Looked the same to me. Nothing has changed in that regard since the last time I was there.. Its been awhile.

They have a kitchen with a deli inside the store, they were open. As far as going down the road for another restaurant, donut shop or what have you. Some of don't have the luxury of personal conveyance. The casino is the next option, I don't gamble but they do entertainment shows

Restaurant was not getting enough business was the reason I was told it closed. 7Feathers is my stop for 10 coming up out of Livermore CA, so I can roll them dice baby. Last time I was there this young guy walked up with $100 and Place bet 4,5,6,8,9,and 10 and walked away after just one shooter with over $1500 bucks. Every time the shooter would hit one of those numbers the guy would full press the winnings on top of his original Place bet. Asked the dealers to 'color' his bets so he could keep track-- when he had like 15 black chips on the spread he pulled them all down right before the shooter 7'nd out.
