Have a 2012 Columbia glider with a 12.7 pre-emission 60 series. When I got the truck the manifold was leaking so I had all new gaskets including the slip joint gaskets replaced. They lasted 6 months so I had it pulled and did a new manifold and gaskets, including the slip joint gasket kit and... 1 year later, rear slip joint leaking again. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a one piece manifold available?
60 Series exhaust manifold leaking again?

Stock 12.7 Detroit manifolds are junk. PDI, Full Tilt - several companies make manifolds for your motor that flow better, lower egts and more importantly never leak. They have the ISX type slip joints that don't leak. I've had a PDI manifold on my CAT for about 5 years or 6 years now and no leaking.

Pittsburgh Power has manifolds also. They are ported and polished. The make inside ports bigger and polish them smooth. So you get better air flow.

I get that... but wouldn't the flex pipe take all the beating if they were bad? I did have the mounts checked a while ago and was told they were OK. I will check again tho. Thanks.
