I have googled there new rule and I can't see where I fall through a crack .. I'm not drop deck or step deck I'm using a 53 ft trailer with no side skirts.. so I'm given a load from ny to cali by my company and inform them that I don't have side skirts.. they say I'll be ok.. my GooglING makes me think otherwise.. can someone let me know cause if I'm not my truck won't even move to get the load

It's for box trailers only, not flatbeds. http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/hdghg/hdghg_overview_web_pres.pdf

It is my understanding that flatbeds aren't required to have them.

Ya what the others have said, only on the vans out here. Starting to see them on the '28 pups now, pretty f'n ridiculous. Next they'll be wanting skirts on the dollies (pun intended, more than likely half of CARB sits behind the desk all day and play with theirs!).HA!

Well the new rule is all drivers must now wear skirts in ca to make the prostate exams in banning go faster so make sure you pick one up.

  9. Skateboards are not required to have side skirts.

Anytime you see one it was added for fuel mileage (cough, cough, #&#&$+ company trailer)

I have yet to see a flatbed with those.

But I put nothing past California and what they may do out there in the future.
