Background: 23 years old, 2.5 years OTR, 1.5 years local experience. Located in Western KY. No endorsements, but can obtain if needed. No criminal background. No SAP.

I'll start with the ugly for me:
-Job hopping history. I should've been smarter and avoided that, but 21 year olds aren't always the brightest
-A termination I won't elaborate on, but is simply reported as 'company policy violation' during verification. That was 10 months ago, and have a completely safe driving record since
-2 moving violations on PSP, but were dropped in court and now have a notation that says 'amended in court'. I tried DataQ'ing them off completely and that's what I got. They're almost 2 years old now and happened during one 'event'.

    The positives:
    -Clean MVR
    -No accidents
-Clean PSP otherwise, no equipment violations
-Willing to stay out 6+ weeks, if needed. I prefer 4-6
-Willing to run anytime of day/night
-I have ran all 48 states in all conditions, including NYC. I'm willing to chain up and do whatever's necessary.
-Anything paying 75k or more a year works for me. I feel like that's easily obtainable doing 4+ weeks out
    -I have experience in a 10 and 13 speed
-I actually prefer reefer, so that's far from a deal breaker
-I am willing to stay out on any holiday, except Christmas
-Willing to touch freight (willing to learn Flatbed as well, but no experience)

Yes, I know, I should've protected my CDL and employment history sooner. But, there's no take backs on the negatives, so this is the current situation. No, I will not be trying out burger flipping, if that's anyone's recommendation lol.

I'm currently employed and not in a rush, but the poor equipment at current employer has been a growing concern for me over the last few months. Lots of minor issues, but some major issues being passed off as normal and no breakdown pay is starting to become a deal breaker for me. I will include pictures of a few examples. It's not that I don't expect breakdowns, but when bad wheel seals are considered normal by the maintenance manager and I'm bear crawling out from under a trailer 2 minutes before an air bag explodes, I don't exactly feel comfortable lol. I'm probably up to 20 trailer repairs in 5 months.

I'd hire you in a minute! Now, whether that translates over to today, is another matter. Any boss with half a brain would, nay SHOULD hire you, and I'd get away from the current company before the rest of your record goes out the window. Those pictures you show, should be shown to the DOT, and despicable someone would run trucks with so many violations in this day. The only glitch I see, is you better forget about Xmas, or any other happening, OTR trucking just doesn't work that way, and more than likely you'll be having Xmas dinner at the North Splatte, NE. Pilot, because everybody at your delivery took off early to be with THEIR families, and nobody told you. Chinatown will be along and can give you much better advice, we need drivers like you today. Best of luck, keep us posted, eh?

Bud A. and Numb Thank this.

If you have experience with a 13 spd then you may as well add a 18 to your resume..pretty much the same thing.

If I wasn’t in survival mode right now I’d hire you no problem. Not much else to add @201 covers it well.

Just a lousy time to find a good job imo.

FCC has an opening for a long haul, 48-state dry van, solo driver on the following page:

    FCC -- 48-state -- dry van -- mostly D & H

Another advantage: you have this long, incredible Forum thread here about FCC -- where you can get a good idea of what life is truly like there -- with a wealth of driver info, & contacts:

    FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Most everybody in that thread seems pretty happy, as well.

You might check it out; could be a great fit for you.

Yuk...this one is dry van but seems to have lenient hiring criteria.
