Some drivers want to stay east and some want to run everywhere; this is something to remember to ask about.

we have a lot of questions like
    apu
    inverters
    fridges
    Pets
training pay and if I can train my wife or we can train together
like to find a company with inverters and fridges but not a deal breaker

A good Yeti cooler will hold ice in a bag for days. A small inverter can run coffee maker, pc, tv, ect. A microwave draws so much power but if you look hard enough they are out there for 3-4oo watts. A lot of companies dont have fridges cause the drivers forget to turn them off when they get out of the truck for their time off and drain the batteries and some drivers use an inverter like they are at home and burn the truck up. Too much use = to much heat= damage = no work. I would forget about the pet s till you own your own. No dogs or cats in my truck and refuse to be in one after they have been in a truck. Concentrate on the job and not the luxuries and you will be fine. What are you gonna sacrifice to get to where you want to be? Good deal on the tickets and happy hunting.

Once you have decided on your new company, call up the third party recruiters and thank them for getting you the tanker gig. End the call with a loud Allahu Akbar

Wooly Rhino is a tough guy; he knows about that stuff. When he lived in Nigeria he worked for Mike Hoare and was his enforcer. I think Wooly Rhino is even mentioned on Mike's Wikipedia page.

Why do so many husbands want to train their spouse but start the job within two minutes of each other? Trucking requires a great deal of skill and it takes years to gain enough real knowledge to train someone else.

We wanted to take our dog too but we opted for the money and a pet nanny. It's crazy tight in the truck and to have an animal under your butt all day is not allowed at so many great companies.

There are so many obstacles to overcome in a trucking with your spouse situation… Training together shouldn't even be on the list.

Roehl is a good company with decent training pay, I recommend them. I believe they have done away with apu's but I do know their internationals have autostart, but not sure about the freightliners.

They have also mostly done away with inverters (too many drivers were plugging in too many appliances and putting too much wear on the batteries), but last I knew, if you bring your own inverter, they will install it for you.

You and husband can train together, but when you go out with the otr trainer, you will have to go seperate. But then you can team together once you are done with the training, and make good money that way.

    They do not allow pets.

My second recommendation would be Millis transfer. They do not have the training pay, but their trucks are better equipped (inverters, fridge, etc.). I never worked for them, but they have stellar reviews.

Rude much? I am a woman. I team drive with my spouse. I am not sure where your hostility is coming from.

Just for the record... Unbiased opinion is not a part of the package on this site.

Lots of people here have "been there..." That's why new truckers come here. Valid advice.
