What leads you to believe they cant be?
-
I have seen 389 lights on a 79. I have seen the big single square lights that a few 379's had factory on a 389. So I don't see why a set of dual 379 head lights wouldn't work
-
Do the 389's run the lights off a control module?
-
The dealer that built my truck built another 389 just after mine and the put the dual round 359 lights on it with round turn signals on the top of the fenders.
-
389s do have a cecu and chassis node. Sometimes anti flicker modules will have to be installed on the low beams.
We have installed 379 and 359 style lights.
Here is a setup I did for a customer a couple years ago.
Big light is high/low. Small one is a flood light. Clearance/turn lights on the fender. Inner one is a amber strobe for oversize loads. Extra clearance/turn on the top of the fender and hanging from the mirror.rabbiporkchop, speedyk, FdEF and 5 others Thank this. -
That is a bad@SS setup Pushbroom. Looks great!
pushbroom Thanks this. -
I know there is one style of Peterbilt headlight that needs an adapter for the 389 hood, but I can't remember which style. But you can put anything on a 389, and it'll look great.

389 headlights are indeed uglier than hell
ODR Thanks this.
