I bought my 2007 379 used and the ignition must have been changed as the key for it doesn't fit anything else.

The glovebox lock has a key code on it. Assuming it or the doors have not been changed does the same key normally fit both? I don't care about the glove box lock but am wanting keys for the doors. Figured maybe I could use this code to order keys.

Glove box is different, but the door and side boxes should be the same as the ignition, originally

If that does not work look in the door jam for a clip that can be pulled out slightly and release the lock assembly from the door.Take it to a lock shop and have a key made. Or buy a lock set from the dealer and change them all.

Just a quick update. The dealer was able to give me a key code at no charge and sold me two blank keys for five bucks each. I took the blanks and the code to a local locksmith and they made the keys for $15.

Only bummer is someone must have changed the sleeper and driver door locks at some point because the new keys only work the passenger door. At least I can lock the truck now though. I will probably swap the cylinders when I get some time so I can lock and unlock them all.

If you take a file and slightly round the edges on the new keys, you may get them to work.
When you use the key, jiggle it up and down and in and out. The cut of the key may be off a little.

Pull the lock cylinders that do not match. Take them to the locksmith if he is good he can fix you up. Spray white lithium grease into the cylinder and they will work well and not freeze.
