Replacing my Air Compressor on a 96 Pete with a 5EK Cat 3406. Had a Cat branded compressor but parts guy sent me a Bendix 750. Going back together my fuel distribution manifold won't go foreward enough to bolt up. Was I not supposed to re use the spacer plate or something?
And yes I was a dummy and sent my core back before things got buttoned up, so here I am asking on a Internet forum.

The rear plate that the 90° is screwed into can be turned to work with different applications.
Caterpillar Cowboy Thanks this. -
Thanks Cetane+ Feel bad I didn't get your post read before thoroughly confusing my parts man at Peterbilt. At least now all of us will know!

Thats cool. The problem is, there are a bazillion different configurations for compressors. Its just simpler to send them all out one way and then move things around for each engines needs.

Cat does not make an air compressor, they do not make filters, they do not make boots.
Just a thought! -

My TuFlo has a CAT badge stuck on it.
Caterpillar Cowboy and truckman29801 Thank this. -
When I replaced the compressor on my cat, the parts guy asked if I wanted a yellow one or a blue one. I asked whats the difference? He answered, $200. I chose blue.
tommygun58, tsavory and insertnamehere Thank this. -
