I'm asking this here because I know company driversnormally don't have over 1500 watts aloud in the truck. But I have my own and put in a Power drive 3000 watt. It was doing pretty good at first. But now blows the 60 watt in line fuse while pulling hardly any power. REALLY getting tired of changing those $5 fuses.
Has anyone else had this problem with these? And how did you fix it? Not sure if or how it could have gotten out of adjustment other than road vibration.

If you're blowing 60amp fuses either you inverter is toast or you are running too thin of a gauge and overheating the entire wiring setup...

How many watts are you pulling when these fuses blow. How many and what devices are causing the fuse to blow? What gauge wires and how long are the wires? The shorter and larger, the better.

I use a 200 amp fuse for my 2,000 watt inverter.
A typical 700 watt microwave would be enough to blow your fuse.
I use at least 2 gauge wire, I have used welding cable in the past.

    This,..

I have a 3500 watt pure synwave in mine and had a problem with the cables getting really hot when using my 1000 watt microwave. Also have a dorm style fridge powered during the day when the truck is running. Talked with a couple people. I ended up having to rewire it from my batteries with actual battery wires. Almost twice the size I was using,.. but no more problems. My inverter has been in the truck for just over 3 yrs now.

Truck stop Power Drive/Road Pro inveters are cheap chinese junk in my opinion.

Ifbmy 30year old stuff is still rightm

    3000W by 110v is 27.3amp
    So inverter to 12v
    12 to 110 is ~ factor 10
    27.3 amp by 10 is 273 amp ...
So you need a min a 280 amp fuse

I have a 3,000 watt inverter. It takes 2 sets of wires each with it's own 250amp fuse.
