I was looking by Google maps 299
See just one or tow semi truck
But I'm not sure if pulling 53 or 48 -
The shortest route is not always the quickest. Only thing it saves you is the hubmiles. Between traffic lights, hills and sharp curves, sometimes it's easier to run the interstate system. I never took CA STAA299 when running the Northwest. Maybe someone on the TTR can give you a heads up driver.

The map has a 65 ft restrictions on 299 for trucks to Eureka. CA police will ticket the average combination CMV over 65 feet. A 53 ft reefer and a sleeper will exceed 70 ft. No fly zone for big trucks.

299 in Ca is marked a STAA route. No overall length limit on STAA routes. Regular Ca KPRA limit or 40'. Used to run it a lot. Pretty good road for a Ca two lane.

It has a 65 ft. Length limit. It’s good road, but lots of hills and sharp curves. Run it everyday and never have any problems.
