Greetings, newbie here. I searched forums but came up with no results.
My 21 W900L (Cummins, 605 hp) has odd fuel issues that have plagued me since ai bought the truck in January.
The right side 150g fuel tank empties way faster then the left side, 120g tank. I read here that it could be the tank vent. A few months ago. I HAD issues with the gauge reading low when it wasn't. I noticed the tank was rotated incorrectly and I was able to loosen the straps and get that corrected. Fuel would sometimes leak out when filling. So I'm guessing fuel might have been spilling out via the vent, possibly... so would that also indicate the vent is not clogged or could that CAUSE the vent to be clogged (thinking the fuel attracts dirt, maybe)?
I have 3 hoses or lines coming off the top of the tank. Which one would be the vent and how can I get it out? Does the tank have to come out or can I remove the vent assembly as it sits?
Once it's off, can I get away with just cleaning it or would it need to be replaced?
Thanks for the help!!

Look for a loose line dangling down the backside of the tank. That should be it.

The tank vent is the brass fitting with a 1/4” plastic line attached. All it is, is a check ball inside with a seat. This allows air in as fuel is consumed and in case of rollover will seal up to prevent fuel from leaking out. They are replaceable with the tank on the truck.

I've replaced the vents in my old 2000 T600 and it was a complete kit I bought from the Kenworth dealership. If I remember correctly it was the vent, hose clamp and small line that clamps onto the vent fitting. Very simple to change out with basic tools.
