I don't understand how truck drivers can be satisfied with these space shuttles.

Not a big aerodynamic fan, but the 579 is probably my favorite of all of them besides the 386. You can make them look cool.

    Not bad.

Less than 500 horse. Ugh. Did it say electric braking? Disc front? Hm....

Anyhow.. that camera was beautiful, whatever it was. That the new 4K format?

Remind me what that box on the sleeper rear is about please. Call me unenlightened. If that's supposed to be a heater or some kind of heat disposal Its not quite right to me.

I don't see a APU, fairings are too much, tanks are fine I guess but where are the batteries? LEft front?

I'll want 600+ horse with 1850 or better torque. Anything that leans to eco will just cost money on the mountain pull. if it does not catch fire first.

One last thing. That front. I'll be sticking a bull rail on that. Don't think that expensive radar emitter would survive a animal strike.

Rivets are nice touch, but today's laser guided welding is way beyond rivets. I'll give props to Pete for holding on to a few.

You can get up to 510/1850 out of a paccar engine
Box on the sleeper was either an APU but i didnt see one. Electric plug in A/C I think??
Batteries are LF step or in the passenger seat.

If you sit down with a salesman and spec a Pete you will be surprised on the amount of options provided. Gauges, fairings, clean frame rails, fuel tank size/placement, accessory coolant ports pre plumed, 5th slide rail length, placement, type....... list goes on forever. Takes quite a few hours but you can spec the absolute perfect truck for your application. I still see new trucks come in and think.... they can do that?

Sometimes Im tempted to wonder just what they can do to reach back in time with today's new trucks. Instead of just three gauges and endless computer alarms I would love to see a dail on everything with a proper manual transmission etc. 510 is not bad at 1850.

Yeah, you can get power out of a MX-13 on paper, but it still won't pull 80K+ gross worth ****.

I've driven 579 autoshifts and 388 18's with the MX-13 tuned from 455 to 500, one even extremely well taken care of and specially modified because it was causing nothing but problems... and none of them can pull a hill as well as my 470 hp C-13.

They are such huge piles of garbage, my company is switching wholesale to the new Cummins X15 (which they swore they'd never buy another red motor 5-6 years ago when the last batch all blew up) and already we are getting feedback from drivers that they are pulling 100,000 gross up hills in 8 direct and 8 over when they would be dropping as low as 6 direct in the Paccar.
