Hi i need some inputs on the 2016 peterbilt 579
It has paccar 455 HP 10 speed auto it has 450000 miles on it. Is it a good deal and what is the fair price. Any engine or transmission issues anyone know of? Thanks fellow truckers.

The 2016 should have the newer version of the Paccar. I’ve never driven the 455, mine is set at 510 and 1850 torque. I have 435k on my 2017 right now and the only thing it’s had over the life of the engine is one nox sensor has been replaced.
As with any truck, do a proper inspection and get all the info on the engine that you can. The early MX13’s were junk but you should be fine with an EPA15 version. Personally with the lighter weight and better fuel economy I have no hesitation about ordering one in my next truck.Danny707, Northern Nomad, alds and 1 other person Thank this. -
