I was changing out my fuel filters today and noticed the upper passenger side coolant house was collapsed. Not sure that's the word you would use but you get the idea. Anyways I started her up after getting done with the filters to make sure everything was fine and the hose went back to normal then I turned the truck off and it went back to the collapse state. What do ya'll think? Bad hose or something else? Cascadia coolant hose collapsed.jpg

I once had a farm tractor with a bad radiator cap do this. I doubt the house is bad.

Replace the Rad cap or vented cap on the surge tank. It is plugged or malfunctioning. When the truck cools off it cannot draw air in and caused a vacuum on the system and that is why the hose is collapsed.

When the truck warms the fluid expands and the hose goes back to normal.
