Well I have a line on this truck. It only has 4000 miles and 300 hours and I figure it will be selling pretty cheap here.
What I don’t know is how well of a truck it is, mainly the engine.
The engine is the CT15.
Anyone have some insight for me? Google is leaving me dry as per decent reviews.

Don’t know nothing about the truck but the engine is listed as a maxforce 15 .. hopefully the emissions are better than on the 13 liter
-
maxxforce 15 uses c15 block head and crank as a base and has some differences

Would the emmissions be the same as the MaxxForce ?

Stay away.....unless you have a yard full of cat equipment. Then cat might help you keep it running at a reasonable cost.
P.S. forget about resale.... it’s nonexistentpushbroom, spsauerland and bzinger Thank this. -
Cat shop here in ohio had them for customer deliveries. Didn't last long. They went with peterbilts. Still have a cat truck sitting at their shop in Cadiz ohio. Can't get parts for it !!

Had a lot of issues with the one where I used to work. Basically its just an Intertrashional with CAT logos glued on it.
The fact that its 4 years old with 4000 miles/300 hours speaks for itself.Last edited: Feb 12, 2019
Oxbow, pushbroom, spsauerland and 2 others Thank this. -
Nobody buys a brand new new truck to not make any money and let it set.
Run, Forest.......Run!!!! -
An awesome truck with a horrible engine. Lots of emission system issues. And the 15L was even worse than the dreaded Maxxforce 13, if you can believe that.
The motor is solid....just not the emissions system. -
I priced out a full delete for my MaxxForce13 and it was only $4000. I’m probably going to do it after the warranty runs up but I’ve had minimum problems with my
Prostar in the last year.Oxbow Thanks this.
