As the title says. However, we are trying to fix it. They just straight piped back. It's loud and annoying and the driver is complaining ( It doesn't sound good at all ). I've searched High and low for a fix but got squat. This truck has a dd15. Can someone help me out?

Calling EPA right now.
(Exhaust shop can set you straight. Should be an easy fix for any shop. There's no DIY hacks for making a straight piped truck quieter without exhaust work)
Also, running around with a screaming DD15 is just a 'look at me, I'm deleted' for DOT. Would advise getting it quieted down sooner than later. It's not a cheap fine. I would suggest making sure the shop you choose doesn't like to snitch either.Last edited: Nov 4, 2023
Kyle G. Thanks this. -
The emissions box took the place of a muffler. With it straight piped it definitely will be louder.
I haven’t heard of too many successful deletes on a DD15. Most of them wind up blowing up within 8 months.
Too much fuel being injected into the cylinders will lead to a cracked liner.Last Call Thanks this. -
