Hey everyone,
Just had the red light show up on the DPF gauge. After looking at the diagnostics I see code 5394 with FMI 7, I'm assuming the dosing valve, sound correct? The DEF is full, just filled it about 15 minutes before the light turned red (it was just over 1/2 full) and the gauge currently shows full, no bouncing around or going to empty.
About 5 to 10 minutes after the light went red, the MIL showed. Found an exit to lookup the code and then headed back to the house. Took about 15 to 20 minutes to get back home and never got derated.
I just had the DPF filter cleaned, taken out and cleaned at Peterbilt, so I'm certain it is good, put about 1500 miles on it since the cleaning. I'm wondering if maybe it could be the DEF filter and not the dosing valve itself? I just purchased the truck 3 months ago so not certain what work has been done on the exhaust system except that I had the DPF cleaned.
Any thoughts/recommendations?
